So, our dad Harold "Pete" was the son of Inez Sonora Mayberry, born around 1900. Her mother was "Nannie" Cora Alderson Sims, and her mother was Martha Cheney Alderson. I do not know much about Cora's husband C.E. There is one pic of him with Cora on the Moore Blog. But amazingly I have photos of Nannie Cora's parents--BOTH of them! ...and not only that but lots more! I'll start with their photos , then add more documents and photos as I can. Funny, but I try to order the photos (repeatedly) and am having trouble with their hopping around within the blog. So please be patient until I get this worked out.

Alderson Reunion
Taken sometime before Inez's marriage in 1920. Number one, first row is Fannie Mauk. Question: What house is this? Where located?
Actually, on looking at John Alderson's picture, I wonder if he might be posed with someone sitting on his right? His left arm is not in his lap as you might expect, it seems to be raised and clasping the hand of another person, whose hand we might be looking at in the photo.
ReplyDeleteAlso, little is included on James Thomas Sims, Daddy Pete's grandfather. Did he die before Inez was married? Is that his photo with Martha and Cora Alderson and other Alderson boys, below? He sure looks like the guy standing with Cora in the other pic.
